PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill said he was ready to take every challenge positively and continue to deliver what was best for the people of Papua New Guinea.
O’Neill said this while celebrating his 46th birthday yesterday  at his Morauta Haus office.
He was surprised to learn upon his arrival from Kavieng, New Island, late yesterday afternoon that his office staff had prepared a cake to celebrate his birthday.
“Thanks for the party that you put up for me. It has been a difficult seven months for all of us but I think the government has progressed well and we will continue to move on.
“We should take everything positively because things happen for a reason. I am always hopeful that we will deliver to our people and your cooperation is very important,” O’Neill told his staff.
Chief-of-Staff Ben Micah said his staff would continue to be loyal to O’Neill and stand by his side to provide any support that he needs.
Those who attended the birthday party included Fisheries Minister Job Pomat, Chief Secretary Manasupe Zurenuoc, Treasurer Simon Tosali and his personal staff.
