EVERYONE knows that according to the Organic Law, the party with the most seats forms the next government.
So why are we debating when it is obvious to everyone that Peter O’Neill is set to form the next government?
He has done well for the people of PNG in the past 10 months.
Fighting to be a prime minister is all about the people and how you look after them.
The people know who is a true leader and this is shown by the number of new faces they have elected into parliament.
It is also  clear the people have given O’Neill’s PNC Party their mandate.
As a farmer, I understand that he became prime minister through his leadership and the way he carries himself in front of other parliamentarians.
Why are candidates who have been declared supporting O’Neill as prime minister instead of other MPs?
O’Neill talks sensibly, passionately and is not like Belden Namah, who talks too much.
Namah fights for pride and the big name.
If you are a true leader, you should form the government with your majority numbers.
Do not be like a child and snub the Organic Law.
Why try to snatch other MPs who are joining a better party to deliver services to the people?
MPs should not be enticed. This is corruption and if leaders are practi-sing this, PNG would remain stagnant.
We need services in remote areas and we want O’Neill to form the government so that he can fulfil his policies.
Independent candidates have to  make the right decision to join the party that has a good leader and that will serve the people, not because of money or ministerial positions.
