PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill yesterday expressed sorrow at the recent deaths of lawyer Peter Donigi and women’s leader, Scholla Kakas.

O’Neill said Papua New Guinea was poorer with the loss of outstanding and inspirational citizens in Donigi and Kakas.

“On behalf of the government, I extend my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the immediate and extended Donigi and Kakas families,” he said.

“Both were distinguished and pre-eminent Papua New Guineans who had served our nation and our citizens meritoriously as public servants and as leaders in their own right.

“Both will be missed by all whose lives they had touched respectively.”
