THE Outcome Based Education (OBE) system is holding back the growth of this nation in terms of human resource.

I cannot imagine why the students of today cannot read and write good English and do simple activities compared to those of us who were at the same level during our community school days.

My understanding and command of English is much better.

I urge the Government to look into this problem and solve it before it cripples this nation.

To me, the OBE system and elementary school learning has failed terribly.

Young Papua New Guineans are finishing schooling lacking the neccessary knowledge to survive in a challenging world.

Therefore, I suggest that the OBE system and elementary learning be done away immediately and the old system be put in place.

Parents must also be responsible and not let their children have access to mobile phones because that is degrading the learning standard of this country even up to university level.
