The Morata, Hohola, Boroko, 9-Mile, Eastern Highlands Baaz Nokondi and South Settlement are moving into their last rounds before the semi finals start.
Boroko league has moved all their games to the Unagi oval due to the upgrading of the Port Moresby Rugby League oval 2 and 3 early this week. Where Baaz Nolondi stages its matches could not be confirmed yesterday.
Morata and Hohola, the biggest off-season competitions in the nation’s capital, which have produced some of the best players in the country, have adopted to the State of Origin series to select players for their respective leagues.
Hohola president Gairo Gavu said the third Origin series between Hohola Red and Tokarara Blue has been deferred to next weekend due to the lack of funding mainly for cash prizes and to buy trophies.
