Office set up to monitor floods

National Weather Service set up weather stations in selected provinces to record and send updated weather information and to monitor floods, according to a weather official.
Assistance director Jimmy Gomoga said the weather stations were automatic which would record and give out hourly weather observations to help forecasters to prepare informative and more accurate weather forecasts and flood warnings. Gomoga said the setup is an ongoing project and they would be put in a better position to accurately disseminate forecasts and flood warnings.
