THE Jiwaka provincial administration has clarified that it has used K2 million from its health sector funding on schools in the province.

Andrew Mangi, the executive officer to Governor William Tongamp, denied a newspaper report this week that said it had transferred all its health sector funding in the public sector improvement programme to education.

Mangi said health was allocated K3 million.

He said the K2 million that was not used would be spent on dormitories and other facilities of two secondary and four high schools in the province.

“We have decided to create more space and improve capacity building in the existing schools to avoid overcrowding and related problems next year,” Mangi said.
