Officer held in fraud case

A NATIONAL Air Port Corporation human resource officer has been arrested and charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice for allegedly locking out a computer with information required by police.
The computer had confidential information required for an investigation, National Fraud and Anti-Corruption Directorate director  Mathew Damaru claimed.
Mulai Ninihili-Vui , 47, of Dobisolo village in Goilala, Central, faces one count of attempting to pervert course of justice.
“He is now out on K1000 bail and will appear before the District Court for committal proceedings,” Damaru said.
An investigation is also being conducted into allegations of fraud and corruption against NAC managing director Richard Yopo.
Yopo, 49, from Wabag, Enga, was arrested on Monday.
