FIVE senior police officers travelled to Brisbane to learn from their Australian counterparts security aspects of the G20 summit held last November.

The Brisbane G20 was a great success and involved over 6000 police and 2000 military personnel.

The trip was funded by the Australian Federal Police partnership programme in PNG. It sent two of its members to accompany the group.

AFP Inspector Peter Withers said the visit to Brisbane was only one part of the support the AFP was offering PNG police to prepare for major events.
