Official resignation pending

REGISTRAR of the Integrity of Political Parties and Candidates Dr Alponse Gelu says he has yet to be officially informed of the resignation of the Members of Parliament that had left their parties since last November.
Gelu in response to reports of the resignation of People’s National Congress (PNC) deputy party leader Richard Maru, told The National that he had not received any resignation letter.
Maru, member for Yangoru-Saussia, released a statement announcing his resignation from PNC effective as of Jan 15.
Gelu said he had not received any notification of Maru’s resignation or that of other MPs during the political impasse last November and December.
