Official urges provinces to form more AFL teams

WEST New Britain Aussie rules stalwart and resident Judge Ellenas Batari has urged more provinces to take up the code.
He said the standard of AFL would improve and the games would be more competitive if more teams took part in the competition.
Justice Batari said it was disappointing to see only two provinces, East and West New Britain competing at the BSP PNG Games in Kimbe.
West New Britain won the gold medal in both the men’s and women’s competitions on Saturday.
The WNB men’s side thrashed ENB 85-21 in game three of their series for a 3-0 clean sweep while the WNB women forfeited ENB for the gold.
Defending champions Team Morobe did not field a team at the seventh PNG Games despite having one of the event’s largest contingents.
