Oil Search visits universities to talk about graduate programme

Youth & Careers

Oil Search is visiting universities in the country to explain its graduate development programme.
It has so far visited two universities in Port Moresby – the Pacific Adventist University and the University of Papua New Guinea – to meet final-year students.
During the visit, the students were informed of what Oil Search does in the industry, its community contribution through the Oil Search Foundation, the use of clean, renewable and sustainable energy through the PNG Biomass and how the students could apply for the graduate programme.
Former inductees of the programme shared their experiences and encouraged the students to consider the graduate programme.
The ineterst shown by students for the programme impress its organisational development representative Leka Leka and encouraged them to plan out their careers and work towards it.
“You must be fully responsible for your own career progression and challenge yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and suggest ideas,” Leka said.
Oil Search graduates drew a lot of interests from students and staff alike wanting to know more about the criteria to be eligible and when applications will be open.
The programme starts next month and interested graduates can visit oilsearch.com for more information.
