Open Wapenamanda airport

Wapenamanda airport in Enga province is one of the few busy airports in the Highlands serving the province, including the Porgera mine and parts of Southern Highlands and Western Highlands.
However, it has been closed due to potholes on the runway.
The Cameron Construction company upgraded the airport nine months ago but it has not been opened yet.
After the closure, travellers are forced to use the Kagamuga airport in Western Highlands.
Can the authorities open the Wapenamanda airport?
