Opportunists taking advantage

LAST year, an initiative to introduce bus stop wardens at 2-Mile Hill to Town in Moresby South just before the festive period was great.
But it has come with its cost especially at the 2-Mile bus stop.
Buses dropping off or picking up passengers just before SVS bus stop have been told to pay K1 or K2 to a group of so-called wardens who are dressed in yellow vest and caps.
The number of bus stop wardens at this particular bus stop seems to be increasing, especially on Fridays and peak hours.
It makes me wonder whether these individuals are employed as part of this programme.
Are they authorised to collect fees from buses?
If this is an initiative by the Moresby South MP, then can Justin Tkatchenko look into this immediately?
Such primitive individuals are tarnishing something good you initiated for the benefit of the Moresby South community.
Over to you JT!
