THE 24 MPs in the Opposition are hoping that members on the Government benches will cross the floor for the vote of no confidence motion against Prime Minister Peter O’Neill next month.
Opposition Leader Patrick Pruaitch said there had been “meetings” among ministers and MPs. “The grace period for the current government ended on Feb 5 and it is the intention of the Opposition to move a vote of no confidence motion in Prime Minister Peter O’Neill in the May sitting,” Pruaitch said.
He said the reason for the motion was that O’Neill “has mishandled many issues affecting the nation”.
