Opposition lists Namah among shadow ministers

 BELDEN Namah has been named in the list of shadow ministers by the Opposition despite his refusal to serve under his successor, Don Polye.

Polye named Namah as the shadow minister for housing, urban development, forestry, defence, police, information and communication. Polye will take care of treasury, foreign affairs and trade, immigration, Correctional Services, religion, youth and community development.

His deputy Sam Basil will look after state enterprises, agriculture and livestock, lands and physical planning and education. Dr Allan Marat is the shadow minister for justice and attorney-general, labour and industrial relations, public services, higher education, research, science and technology.

Mark Maipakai is the shadow minister for finance, national planning, fisheries and marine resources, Bougainville affairs, heath and HIV/AIDS. James Gau is the shadow minister for works and implementation, transport and civil avaition, commerce and industry, tourism, culture, arts and sports and Pacific Games.

Nixon Mangape is the shadow minister for petroleum andenergy, mining, inter-government relations, environment and conservation and climatechange.

Polye presented in Parliament the Opposition’s alternative government policies.
