A MAN who spent more than K200,000 a year on outboard motor fuel has won a boat in a promotion by Anderson Express in Lae, Morobe.
Koena Saira, from Bosadi village in Morobe Patrol Post, was presented with the boat on Friday after Anderson Express ran the promotion for nine months.
Saira said he spent about K1460 on zoom to keep his boat running from Morobe to Oro (Northern) and back.
“My boat travels three times a week to Oro and back to transport passengers and betel nut,” he said.
I always buy zoom from Anderson Express and I am grateful for winning this promotion.
“This is an early Christmas gift for me and my family and I thank Anderson Express for running such a promotion.
“I was surprised when I was notified that I had won the boat.”
Saira described his luck as one of the biggest things that happened in his lifetime as he had never won any promotion before.
He said he never expected to win but he kept on buying zoom in order to keep his boats operating.
“I thank God for this early Christmas gift and I also thank Anderson Express for running this promotion,” he said
Branch manager for Anderson Express Patrick Dunks said the promotion started in March and customers who purchased K150 or more on zoom entered the draw. “This is one of our largest promotions and we look forward to running more of such promotions in the future. The boat and the engine were purchased at Ela Motors at a value of K30,000,” he said.
