Organise better events in future

 I AGREE that the recent Melanesian Festival of Arts and Culture that it was not organised properly and there was not much publicity on the venues and performances. 

I savour the memories of the 1980 South Pacific Festival of Arts, chaired by Mali Voi, where Papua New Guineans took part as participants, volunteers and spectators. 

The National Cultural Commission should also be commended for engaging unemployed youths as volunteers to accompany our Melanesian visitors as security or guides. 

We all learn from our mistakes, so let us put this behind us and move forward towards better organisation of future events.
