Origin of virus rising suspicion

Letters

I TAKE my time trying to understand how Covid-19 began from Wuhan city, China.
What caused it to emerge and why China, a powerful economy with fully kitted and resourced health facilities manned by skilled medical professionals and health scientist, could not do much to control the spread of this deadly virus.
It is now unmercifully sweeping innocent lives across the globe.
Beside this, the death toll from other countries are superseding China’s overall tally. I strongly believe that China is hiding the truth.
They should be the most affected country recording more confirmed cases and deaths but that is not the case.
This development injects some question into my mind and I am convinced that something is not right.
Developing nations are more vulnerable and we should be more cautious.
We must take into consideration that our world today does not operate the way we think it does.
Powerful economies can easily manipulate this globe putting people’s lives at risk and China is no exception.
I am not saying that the coronavirus is manmade.
But I am convinced by this trail of events that something is wrong.
The world’s medical science cannot come up quickly with a solution.
Every single day people are infected and dying in huge numbers which is uncommon.
I urge the Government to keep track of every single spending and take stock of every single receipt of any form of assistance given to fight this global pandemic in PNG.
How many lives affected as a result.
Our records should be clean so we can seek redress.
