Oro move into top four

ORO moved into the top four with 2-1 victory over Admiralty in the second round of the National Soccer League played at PNGIPA Oval on Saturday.
Joe Turia’s men overcame 1-0 deficit in the opening half to equalise through a Gary Moka’s header take the game with a late spot kick by Leana Geno.
Admiralty striker Moffat Kilifa gave the Manusians the lead after several near misses in the opening 15 minutes.
The Solomon Islander had to withstand some rugged defence by Oro.
But it was not just Oro that upped the ante in defence. Admiralty were guilty of rough tactics themselves and referee Albert Maru issued a number of yellow cards during the match.
Moka’s equaliser in the second half came after a good set up by Sammy Poesi and substitute Moses Roy.
Roy featured again for Oro when he was fouled in the box by Gabriel Admiralty’s Kanamon for a spot kick.
Captain Leana Geno converted the spot kick in the fourth minute of injury time seal the match 2-1.
Kanamon, who was the hero after saving a possible goal by Oro earlier in the match turned villain with a miss timed challenge on Roy.
In the early game, the Hekari United blasted  blew Eastern Stars off the park 4-0.
Tutizama Tanito had a field day scoring two while Tuimasi Manuca and Nicolas Muri picked up a single each to push their team away for the top
In Lae, the battle of two Morobe teams saw Gigira Laitepo Morobe United repeat their first round performance against their Lae city rivals thrashing Lae FC 4-0 at Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium while another Morobe team Besta Unted were on the bye.
