Orphans to attend class

Education

TWENTY-ONE orphans from Usino-Bundi will take part in a special boarding elementary class at Gembogl Orphans Resource Centre (Gorc) Early Childhood School this year.
Director Willie Gene confirmed that the centre would take on the orphans from neighbouring Usino- Bundi in Madang.
He thanked the Kumura Foundation for identifying and recommending the disadvantaged children to their centre.
Gene said the children were raised without parents and therefore helping them was like bringing light to their darkness.
He said Gorc had over 100 orphans and welcomed the addition of the orphans from Usino-Bundi.
“The children have enjoyed their stay and study here,” he said.
Gene, also a senior health worker and health advocate in the area, said they were committed to helping those less fortunate in the community.
