Our current tax rates are killing us

I CALL on the 111 members of parliament and their advisers to come up with some reasonable tax rates and policies.
The current tax rates are so exorbitant that they are killing us.
Every working class person pays tax for every single service provided to him/her apart from the com­pulsory income tax.
With the national bud­get to be delivered tomorrow, what has the minister for finance and treasury got for Papua New Gui­nea?
Our economy has been performing above par for the past eight years or so.
Our economy has im­proved as can be seen with the increase of economic activities taking place all around.
Well, what better way can the government share the wealth with its people than to reduce income tax?
The equation then will be less tax = increased income = financial burdens relieved = happy families, etc.
