FIRST, my condolences to the family of the late journalist Yehi Hriehwazi, one of our country’s finest.
Second, my thanks to doctors and nurses who persevere under trying conditions to ensure people stay healthy.
It is unacceptable our health system is deplorable.
Our people are dying everyday in hospitals and aid posts from problems that should be easily diagnosed and treated.
The late Hriehwazi was one such example of a death that could have been avoided.
As Christians, we believe that God calls us when we die.
But we must realise the state of our health system is the result of  our own greed,  neglect and corruption.
We must distinguish between God’s calling and our own negligence and I am afraid to say that most  deaths fall in the second category.
Many  deaths are not God’s calling but rather, it is our health system killing us off.
