PAPUA New Guinea Defence Force is the best in the Pacific.
They are very professional, cool-headed and uphold the Constitution of our sovereign nation every time something serious threatens our national security.
The current commander Brig-Gen Francis Agwi must be commended together with his line commanders and his many men and women for high professional conduct regarding the current political impasse and the eventual short-lived mutiny last Thursday.
Had Agwi been regionalistic, surely he would have taken sides to support the Somare faction because both men come from the same province.
I salute him and his men and women for being so professional. They have set a precedent
Our PNGDF is transparent, impartial and people-friendly. They are the only institution remaining that I trust.
On that note I ask Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and his government to provide necessary support as per their requirements while Yaura Sasa and his cohorts and their master tacticians should be dealt with by the law.
Why should we waste time getting them arrested, release them on bail, pardon them and then set up a commission of enquiry and so on when we the entire world know that a mutiny had indeed taken place?
Crooked politicians must now know that PNGDF should not be used for political gains, for many have failed to make them take sides.
