I REFER to the officers and SNCOs attending the degree in Public Policy Management (PPM) course conducted at the PNGDF headquarters.
The programme was introduced to enhance military officers to contribute meaningfully to the development and progress of the PNGDF.
However, we are still yet to see some tangible outcomes.
Manuals like the PNGDF manual of personnel administration, which are policy booklets that were produced prior to or after independence, need to be updated to suit the trend of time.
The objective of the programme is good and is the best way forward.
However, the application of all that has been learnt to enhance our defence force by these PPM graduates is dormant and yet to be realised.
