Outdated buildings

Letters

This is to support the concept that Alotau MP and Deputy Prime Minister Charles Abel spoke about in Friday’s The National.
The Alotau Hardware and Cheong’s Supermarket are outdated buildings and should be relocated to Goilanai.
All buildings in the commercial centre have to be redesigned and built to cater for a standard modern facility or a mall.
The mall will mean a car park will be built across the road, which can cater for all the taxis, other vehicles and trolleys for use by shoppers.
Other shopping booths can cater for all kinds of specialist goods.
Banks like ANZ can set up in Alotau. This and other infrastructure development in Alotau will enhance tourism, employment and income generation.
