MISS Sanctuary and Rapopo Resorts 2019 Natasha Metta, accompanied by her chaperone Isabelle Pang, visited the bmobile head office in Port Moresby on Wednesday.
Metta was crowned Miss bmobile People’s Choice on Saturday at the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant PNG crowning night.
She spoke to bmobile staff about her journey in the pageant.
Before the pageant, Metta did not know how to apply make-up or dress appropriately for certain events. And also she was not able to speak to a room full of strangers.
Metta acknowledged her sponsor and chaperone Pang, in giving her the guidance and confidence that she needed to overcome those challenges, and said her sponsors became like a family to her.
Metta’s motivation for joining the pageant was her desire to serve people.
She thanked bmobile for continuing to support young women through its sponsorship of the pageant and said she was delighted to have won the title through the SMS voting platform.
Metta said she would use her prize of an Alcatel 4G Tablet and 150GB (a 30GB Mammoth Mobile Data Plan each month over five months) of mobile data to learn how to effectively use social media to reach people and draw attention to important issues.
