An exciting encounter awaits Port Moresby fans tomorrow when the Eastern Stars host Hekari United at the Papua New Guinea Football Stadium in the second leg of the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League home-and-away series.
In the first leg, the game was evenly matched but Hekari’s experience helped the defeat the Stars 2-0.
With a grand-final spot on the line, both sides are raring to go in a match that is expected to offer plenty of entertainment for those fortunate to fill the PNG Football Stadium.
Hekari will be relying on veteran skipper David Muta, his deputy Koriak Upaiga and the Kepo brothers — Atti and Kolu — to trouble the Stars.
However, with the return of veteran Tau Winnie and Andrew Lepani from injury, Anthony Pakakota’s Stars are expected to come out firing.
Lepani is a man with great experience and with his leadership on the field, the Stars will be keen on overturning the first-leg deficit in their favour.
The Stars must hold their heads high to defend well to keep Hekari at bay.
In Lae, defending champion Toti City will meet again with Morobe United at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium.
