Palais have chance to make finals

 PAPUA New Guinea stand a good chance of making the Hong Kong Sevens women’s finals today.
The one-day tournament which will be played at the Hong Kong Football Club today and serves as a precursor to the men’s event which takes place at Hong Kong Stadium tomorrow.
PNG Rugby development officer Sailosi Druma said the Palais needed to win one game to make the knockout stage later this afternoon and stood a good chance of finishing in the top four of the 12-team tournament. PNG plays Brazil (10.50am – PNG) and South Africa (12.10am)
The Palais under new coach Elenoa Kunatuba are grouped in Pool B with Brazil and South Africa.
The Palais only tournament success was winning the Borneo Sevens in 2012.
Since then Palais have not progressed as well as expected however a top four finish would be a big step in the right direction.
