Pangia-Ialibu gets K24mil for projects

PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill intends to visit his electorate before the general election this year.
He visited Mele village in east Pangia on May 1 and acknowledged the support of the six ward councils through their councillors to ensure his return as the Ialibu-Pangia MP.
O’Neill also visited two other council wards in east Pangia and gave them K9.25 million for basic services projects.
In Pondiyapu, he presented two cheques worth more than K7.75 million to three ward councils. K6 million would be used for three road projects and the balance for other small projects.
Two million kina was allocated for the Pangia station-Morea road project, K2 million to build Koare road and another K2 million for the Wiru loop road.
He then visited Talipiko unity and presented K1.5 million to six ward councils for service improvement projects.
He then travelled by chopper to the remote Iaro village in west Pangia before returning to Port Moresby.
