Pangu Pati policies

Letters

THIS relates to The National last Thursday where Opposition leader Patrick Pruaitch questioned the election of the 8th prime minister, whether it was Constitutional or Unconstitutionally elected and seeking the higher courts interpretation.
According to Political Party registry laws (OLIPPAC), a prime minister is appointed from a party after considering the policies of that party.
He/she must be in that Party for more than six months and overall be a party leader or have senior positions in that party.
When national elections are held after every five years in the country, people look at party policies, and when a political party wins after election, the nation definitely knows how the country is going to run.
We, the people of Morobe, want to see some of Pangu Pati policies implemented and not your “Norway brought up policies”, because we voted for Pangu Pati policies.
The opposition is there to give checks and balances to the government of the day but you have to also dismantle the powers of opposition.
