Pangu suffering, leaders must unite

Letters

PANGU Pati’s worst political enemies are created by its self-centred people in their own parliament wing (members of parliament) and its national executives whose only interest is to build themselves and their political egos.
The story on the other daily’s front page tells us all.
It is sad story for Pangu Pati nationwide leading into next year’s National General Election and this may force some of Pangu’s current MPs to leave the party soon.
The question is, where was former Pangu Pati president Patrick Pundao when the party convention was held in Port Moresby. Did he ever provide any advice to the party leader and former executives on matters of interests before the convention and election of the party’s new national president?
Did he do any of that before he ran to the court after losing his post?
Pangu is governed and operated by its own constitution which both the parliamentary wing and national executives must follow instead of running to the courts.
Pangu is a very good political party but it is being destroyed by a few people who continue to hold onto public office for self-interests over the last 15-20 years.
It is sad to see that deputy party leader and Morobe Governor Ginson Saonu and party leader, Prime Minister James Marape not working together.
I urge them to put away their political differences and start talking and working together to get the Wafi-Golpu mining and other development projects in Morobe back on track in the best interest of Morobe and Papua New Guinea.
