THE sponsorship-starved Paga Panthers received a timely boost with the presentation of new uniforms on Tuesday afternoon, courtesy of the new-established real estate company Housething Ltd.
Housething Ltd has extended its support to the men’s A and B graded this season after backing the women’s team last season.
Housething Ltd managing director Susan Searson said during the presentation that the new-look uniform was set to improve the image of the competition.
“Image of the club is important both on and off the field. Always respect your fellow players and your opponent during the games,” she said.
The Madang woman said she wanted to be part of the club, and there would be more surprises but the players should demonstrate on the field of play if they wanted it (surprises).
The company has successfully backed Paga Panthers to the inaugural women’s rugby league final, and also supported the club during their campaign at the Ipatas Cup where they finished third.
Paga Panthers club president Maso Martin thanked Searson and her company for the timely support.
Martin thanked the previous sponsor, MS Wagambie Lawyers, for supporting the club.
Paga is currently third on the ladder of the competition.
President of Digicel Port Moresby women’s rugby league Elsie Siki who witnessed the presentation of uniforms commended Searson for her support.
