Papua carnival into final pool matches

EASTERN Papua Carnival (EPC) Cup soccer tournament enters its final pools matches this weekend to determine the final placing for the men’s and women’s division.
Only six teams will qualify for the men’s finals and four teams will qualify for the women’s quarter-finals on Sunday.
Maiyela (1) lead the men’s pool A  with 16 points followed by Galea (1) on 13, Solo 11, LSC 10, Kone United (1) 8, Lubaigu, Yalas 6 each and Amuna on 4 points.
In pool B, reigning champions Gabutu one lead with 17 points followed by Simla SYB on 15, Mixmates on 14, Ebonywoods on 10, Sogu United and Kinita (1) on 9, Fernor 4 and Kone United 0.
In pool C, Kabutuvau and Lagimu have outstanding matches while Maiwa 2 have two games to finalise the tallies.
Kabutuvau and North Coast  are joint leaders with 16 points followed by Kilia Jokers and Kula on 13, Mokiutu on 10, Hidomo on 6 while Maiwa and Lagimu have yet to register competition points.
In pool D, Maiyela ( 2), Yalas ( 2) and Mokiutu (2) have two more games to play while Nim, Wagana Strikers, Simla 2 and Gabutu 2 have one match to play to complete the round.
Pool D standings are Nim and Maiyela (2) on 15 points, Wagana Strikers on 12, Simla (2) on 11, Maiwa (1) and Kinita (2 ) on 8, Yalas (2) on 7, Mokiutu (2) on 5 and Gabutu (2) on 4 points.
In women’s pool A, Gabutu lead with 16 followed by North Coast and LSC on 10, Lubaigu and Kula on 7, Galea on 5, Kone United and Yalas on 2 points.
In pool B, Nim and Hidomo lead with 13 points, Kabutuvau, Mixmates and Simla on 7, Amuna on 6, Fernor on 3 and Lagimu with 0.
