A YOUNG but enthusiatic Monier Paramana put down City Pharmacy Rebels 62-43 in Port Moresby Netball’s Round 4 clash on Saturday.

Paramana’s starting line-up had national representative Kula Iamo at goal attack teaming up with siblings shooter Vavine and Maretta at wing attack controlling play at the Rita Flynn Netball Courts.

Paramana held a 11-5 lead thanks to the Iamo combination.

Kula’s got the better of pepes  squad mate Winnie Mavara to keep her side ahead by two at halftime 18-16.

Paramana defenders Susan Wellington and Gewa Raula were prominent in foiling many Rebel raids that contirubuted to the 19-point winning margin.

In the other matches, Snax Mermaids caused an upset defeating defending champions Esco Telstars 49-46.

It was a closely fought game between the popular rivals.

However the highlight of the match was the defensive play by the Mermaids in last two quarters with Tau Galewa and Kapu Kapi keeping shooters Albertine Ehari and Gamini Koroka out to register a 3-point win.

In the other match, Sparrows hammered Aroma Coast 56-36.
