REIGNING premiers Monier Paramana showed a glimpse of defending their title when they disposed of Aroma Coast 56-26 in Port Moresby netball competition at the Rita Flynn Courts last Saturday.
Paramana proved too strong for their opponents when they restricted them to only 26 points courtesy of goal shooter Jennifer Rigolo and goal attack Pai Vaupu.
Led by Marie Othio (GA) and Renagi Rai (GD), Paramana proved their supremacy in all facets forcing the Aroma lasses into errors which they capitalised on to pot the points.
Aroma Coast should blame themselves, who at times took poor options with poor coordination around the centre that denied them any scoring opportunities.
Rai and Jessie Loco were in devastating form for Paramana keeping their opponents at bay.
Paramana took a 13-5 lead after the first quarter and were cruising 47-21 at the break.
They continued their dominance picking up nine points while restricting their opponents to five to wrap up the match comfortably 56-26.
