Pari start Motu-Koita U21 netball title defence with victory

PARI opened their Under-21 title defence with a 10-2 win over Mahuru Team Two in round one of the Moresby South Motu-Koita netball tournament at the Southside Fitness Centre on Saturday.
Pari One joined Kirakira One with wins over Mahuru Two while Korobosea One and Korobosea Two beat Pari Two and Kirakira Two respectively.
The senior division opened their first matches on Saturday with Kirakira Two edging Korobosea Two 10-9 in the first round.
Pari One defeated Mahuru One 10-3 while Korobosea One grabbed a 14-11 win over Taurama One.
Kirakira One and Korobosea One ended round one with 10-2 wins over Mahuru Two and Pari Two respectively while Taurama Two and Korobosea Two settled for a 14-14 draw.
Tournament director Asi Mou told The National that pool games would continue for the next three months with participating villages urged to follow the competition’s Covid-19 guidelines.
