THE Port Moresby Nature Park will continue to deliver its customer services with strict Covid-19 protocols this year, general manager David Thompson says.
He said the park’s 80 staff would be at the frontline to deliver quality customer service including in its guides and activities in the park’s programmes, retail outlets, food and beverage while maintaining the wildlife in its care.
Thompson said Papua New Guinea had a bright future in tourism in terms of its plants and animal life as well as culture.
“Tourism is on the map for PNG and I’m happy to share my experiences and knowledge here,” he said.
He said more than 80,000 people visited the park last year and the numbers were still increasing and this it was a great opportunity for the park.
He said the park would continue to improve its services and standards to contribute a valuable service to the community and country.
Thompson said the park would launch its tree kangaroo conservation programme, improvement of park infrastructure including picnic areas, new toilet facilities and work on other new programmes to improve people’s knowledge on animals and caring for them including looking after the environment.
