PARTICIPANTS of a women’s football capacity-building workshop were privileged to learn from facilitator Margaret Aka during the three-day event at the Papua New Guinea Football Association Education Centre at 11-Mile outside Lae.
Interviewed by The National, some of the participants expressed what they thought of the workshop and how it had helped them.
Participant Jonathan Towai said attending the workshop with people of different ages was a humbling experience.
“For my generation, jobs that are assigned to us are being held back because we have a fixed mindset,” he said.
“Having such mindset, some of us have to rise up to take challenges as one day, we’ll be in the shoes of those who are running big organisations.
“Having the workshop for a week or two will be good for young participants like me.
“I’ll share what I have learned and encourage young people not have a fixed mindset, but a growth mindset to take up challenges when they present themselves.”
