Partners provide stable connection

PNG DataCo Ltd and its partners continue to provide internet and stable connectivity during the state of emergency (SOE) period.
It managed to land the Kumul Submarine Network (KSCN) in Madang last Friday.
Managing director Paul Komboi said in a statement that telecommunication technologies in the provinces could not adequately support the current bandwidth needs.
They also are unable to cater for future growth especially during the crisis where using internet platforms and tools to work from home is essential in managing the crisis.
“The Government through PNG DataCo Ltd emphasises that the country must keep pace with the global trend in telecommunication infrastructure,” Komboi said.
“In situations like this, we are also capable of handling and managing ourselves.”
