Partnership is the way forward

PARTNERSHIP is the way forward for development and service delivery in Papua New Guinea.
The recent launch of 5-Year Integrated Development Plan for Menyamya/Aseki by MP Thomas Pelika is applauded.
This plan envisaged to guide the development and service delivery for the people in the district.
The onus is now with the departmental heads and public servants within the district administration to work up to the call to successfully implement this integrated plan. Remember, inclusive participation to implementing this plan is crucial in contributing to the development of the district.
The people’s call now is directed towards the district administration to really work up to the expectations in terms with this development plans.
Again, we bet on the MP to re-boot under-performing staff because their performances only reflects or deflects the parliamentary leader of the day.
Also, wider consultations abroad and an establishments of and/or working with local partners in accordance with their needs of the communities are very vital.
The integration of local partnership programs for implementations of the plan would be termed well as taking bottom-up approaches in its development plan for sustainable service deliveries and developments in the communities and district. Re-look into establishing partnership programmes with the communities who would like to take initiative towards developing their respective wards or communities.
Therefore, the DDA need to take this opportunity or the local communities will remain marginalised.
