Pastor concerned over churches destroyed by evictions

AN Evangelical Church pastor says so many church buildings in the National Capital District have been destroyed by evictions.
Pastor Paul Anda told members of a community at 8-Mile settlement in the National Capital District that many more church buildings would be destroyed if evictions continued in the city.
“Some have been deserted after their congregations got evicted from their previous locations. Congregations of these church buildings would have to find other places for worship,” he said.
Pastor Anda said three church buildings had been destroyed so far following evictions at Garden Hills and Erima.
He said church buildings had been established in smaller communities and settlements to spread the Gospel and it was sad to see congregations struggling to find other churches to go to for worship.
He said for settlements, having a church building in their communities stopped people from the trouble of worrying about bus fares.
Many cannot afford to go to churches outside,” he said.
