THE Gospel can change people to become better and lead good lives, says Pastor Tony Sei, of the Harvest for Christ Ministry Church.
Sei said the Word of God was important and had the power to change people to become better citizens.
He said the gospel, through the church, was the only place for people to get redemption on whatever problems they were experiencing.
“Pastors and church leaders are there to help people,” he said.
The church was established at the Kesu Settlement in Gerehu, Port Moresby, in 2016. It has helped many people shed their bad habits and change their lifestyles.
“We had drug addicts, drunkards and criminals but are now faithful Christians,” he said.
He said many people wasted their time and resources on alcohol and gambling which did not benefit their families.
“Many successful businessmen and intellectuals lost their businesses and jobs because of mismanagement.
“But through the gospel of Christ, they are seeing changes in their lives in a short time,” Ps Sei said.
Sei encouraged people facing family problems, poverty, unemployment, business breakdown, drugs and alcohol, prostitution and mismanagement of resources to seek God by joining the nearest church.
