A pastor is appealing for financial assistance to return to Africa to continue missionary work.

Lutheran church pastor Yoso Kui, who had been a missionary under operation mobilisation with his two daughters, wants to return to Sudan, where his late wife Victoria is from.

She died in Munum village, about 30km on the highway out of Lae, after a short illness last Friday.

Kui was a pioneer operation mobilisation missionary to Africa and spent seven years in Sudan where he met Victoria his wife.

They returned to PNG in January 2002 and were preparing to return to the mission field when she passed away.

They have two daughters, Leah 9, who was born in Sudan and Rhonda, nine-month-old, who was born at Munum.

Kui hoped to return to continue his work but without financial assistance.

Fellow pastor Frank Hans Yanod said yesterday that contributions in kind can be dropped off at Our Saviors Lutheran church at Bumbu or at Munum village.
