The National, Friday July 25th, 2014
THE Pacific Adventist University today starts its three- days celebrations to mark 30 years of operation in PNG.
Vice-Chancellor P Ben Thomas said the PAU had pursued the mission of preparing people for a life of service since its establishment.
Thomas said the theme for this year’s anniversary reflected the focus of preparing people, especially PAU students, for a life of service.
He urged the university to unite to reflect, celebrate and inspire one another.
PAU started its operation as Pacific Adventist College in 1984 focusing on the needs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Pacific Islands region.
After 13 years the government passed the Pacific Adventist University Act 1997, upgrading the college to university status.
