Pay outstanding allowances

Letters

DURING these uncertain times of a surge in coronavirus pandemic.
the Government has lost track of reality by deliberately not paying up its dues.
Teachers are frontline workers just as nurses and police.
There are no incentives to support and recognise these people who are putting their lives at risk every day to accomplish the Government’s directives.
Why are they delaying the yearly 3 per cent consumer price index (CPI) payment for teachers from 2020 and 2021? Who is responsible to address this issue?
The Teaching Service Commission and Education Department are puppets of the Government’s drive to “Take back PNG”.
The Government is good at talking.
What happened to the funding from the loans and other donor agencies?
Teachers do not have sanitary and protective equipment.
Can our parliamentarians go around the country and see what’s happening?
PNG is being driven backwards at high speed.
It’s scary.
This can lead to uprisings.
The Government should pay teachers, nurses and other public servants’ outstanding payments.
Nurses have died while on duty as a result of the Government’s ignorance.
Teachers would follow suit if this trend continues.
Our police are struggling as well.
Do something.
