Peka: Morobe district games must be organised now

ALL nine districts in Morobe province should now prepare and host their respective district games in preparation for the provincial games for selection into Team Morobe at the PNG Games in Kokopo in October.
Provincial sports coordinator Ludwick Peka said the respective district administrations must liaise with their local level governments to prepare their games in soccer, basketball and volleyball.
He also sent a similar invitation to all sporting codes in Lae to do the same and organise their selection trial matches.
Peka said all the district games were geared towards preparing for the Morobe provincial games which is scheduled for April but depended on the districts and each sporting code’s selection trials which must be held before the games.
Meanwhile, Team Morobe is calling for applicants for the team management and coaching positions to submit their applications to the Provincial Sports and recreation officer and copied to  him.
He said applications would close at the end of April.
