People are poor because of their poor attitude
The National, Wednesday February 11th, 2015
THE difference between poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country.
This can be observed from countries like Egypt, India and others that are more than 2000 years old but still poor.
On the other hand countries like Canada, Australia and New Zealand were expressive 200 years ago, but now they are well developed and rich.
Another example, Japan was totally destroyed during World War II however, today Japan is considered the second largest economy in the world.
The country is like an immense floating factory that imports raw materials around the world, processes and exports manufactured products.
Another example is Switzerland, which does not grow cocoa but produces the best chocolate in the world.
In its small territory, they raise animals and farm the land during the three months of the four season cycle every year. They produce dairy products of the best quality.
So what is the difference?
The difference is simply the mindset of a person, it is his attitude which is framed along the years by education and culture.
A positive attitude engraves a noble character that is able to reason out situations carefully and responds correctly to circumstances.
On analysing the behavior of the rich people and developed countries, we find that the majority (98%) follow good life principles such as honesty, obedient to laws and being responsible.
Our poor state is because we lack the will to comply, teach and lead by example these functional principles of developed societies.
