MOROBE police commander Alex N’Drasal urged people using the new han-paus (wallet) market at Nadzab not to trade illegal items and be neat and tidy.
N’Drasal said Nadzab Airport was the only gateway for national and international visitors, especially tourists and investors to and from Lae.
“Therefore, to protect the image of Lae and Morobe, trading of homebrew, drug, prostitution and adultery are discouraged,” he said.
Likewise, health and hygiene should be maintained.
N’Drasal he said this during the opening of the market built by B&F Trading Ltd managing director Jason Lin in partnership with Orognaron clan leader Michael Maliaki from Gabensis in Wampar, Huon Gulf.
He urged Wampar locals and travelling public to take ownership the market.
