Pharmacies to sell masks at mall’s entry

TWO pharmacies at the Vision City mall will be setting up at the entrance to allow customers to buy masks upon entry before accessing the mall services, according to management.
Mall security manager Sevanaia Koroi said this followed the pandemic directives that it would be compulsory for everyone in Port Moresby to wear face masks in public.
Koroi added that in an effort to meet their customers’ needs and in the instance that they did not have masks, two of the mall’s pharmacies – RH Pharmacy and City Pharmacy – would be selling masks at entry points to allow customers to buy masks before entering the mall.
“This is a difficult time for us all, but we will strive to continue to operate and provide much needed services,” he said.
“We are aware of the recent measures issued by the National Pandemic Controller and Police Commissioner David Manning especially measure 10 outlining the use of masks.
“All staff members will be issued with masks on top of the measures already in place.
“This includes hourly cleaning and sanitising of the public area and regularly touched surfaces.
“Effective July 29, ‘no mask no entry’ will be implemented at all entry points.”
